1956 Chevrolet 210

Classic Tri-Five character backed by LS reliability, modern road manners, Corvette braking, and the comfort to drive it anywhere.

The build

This is Cesar’s personal Chevrolet and the clearest expression of the Modern & Classic Performance philosophy: preserve the soul of a classic, then transform everything that determines how confidently it starts, stops, handles, and travels.

The body was meticulously restored before Cesar acquired it. Every panel was inspected, the entire floor was replaced, and rust-affected metal was repaired correctly. Modern & Classic Performance then rebuilt the car underneath that solid foundation with an LS drivetrain, upgraded chassis systems, four-wheel disc brakes, EFI, modern air conditioning, updated electronics, and a completely reworked driving environment.

A solid foundation

Restored one panel at a time.

Before the performance work began, the Chevrolet received an extensive body restoration by its previous owner—an experienced craftsman who patiently addressed the body section by section. The deteriorated floor was completely removed, rusted areas were repaired or replaced, and the cabin, firewall, wheelhouses, and engine compartment were returned to solid condition.

That careful metalwork gave the restomod the right place to begin: a straight, rust-free classic worth building around.

Modern power, classic presentation

An LS that belongs here.

The rebuilt 5.3-liter LS keeps its electronic fuel injection while borrowing the visual language of a traditional small-block. A single-plane intake, four-barrel-style throttle body, dual-snorkel air cleaner, hidden coil packs, and long plug wires make the installation feel appropriate to the car.

Wiring is concealed, accessories are packaged cleanly, and the engine bay stays focused on the Chevrolet orange V8 at its center.

Confidence at speed

No more 1956 road manners.

Tubular control arms, CPP Corvette-style spindles, C6 hubs and brakes, and power rack-and-pinion steering replace the vague response of the original chassis. New rear leaf springs were relocated inside the frame to create room for wider rear wheels and tires.

The result is stable, responsive, and comfortable at highway speed—the kind of classic that invites another trip instead of another excuse to leave it parked.

Built for real use

Comfort without losing character.

The cabin adds an under-dash Nostalgic AC system, red Intellitronix digital instruments, modern power seats, and a custom center console. The console integrates AC controls, cupholders, phone charging, a voltage display, storage, and a B&M automatic shifter into one purpose-built piece.

Everything underneath the body was selected for one goal: make this Chevrolet easier, safer, and more enjoyable to drive while keeping the presence that made it special in the first place.
